Bacalar, also known as the lagoon of the seven colors for its beautiful turquoise blue shaded waters.
It is actually a lake and was named after the many different shades of blue and turquoise that shimmer in the sunlight. The water of the lagoon is fed by underground cenotes and therefore has crystal clear water.
