The Sea of Cortez was called the aquarium of the world for a reason. On our snorkeling tour from San José del Cabo you float above living reefs where tropical fish, rays and sea turtles go about their day just a few meters below you. If you can float, you can snorkel here. Our guides are certified in safe-reef practices and pick the best site of the day based on visibility, currents and marine life.

We visit the best snorkeling spots around San José del Cabo — Zapatitos, Barco Hundido, La Bufadora, Los Corales and Las Palmitas — shallow, sheltered reef sites perfect for group snorkeling and first-time snorkelers. The water here is warm and remarkably clear, and the coral formations shelter a colorful marine ecosystem: tropical fish in every color, blue sea stars, puffer fish, moray eels, stingrays and the green sea turtles that make the Sea of Cortez famous.

What to expect: a relaxed three-hour adventure with a small shared group of up to 10 guests. After a short safety briefing and gear check at Marina San José del Cabo, we cruise out to the best reef of the day and slip into the water with our certified guides. Premium mask, fins and flotation vest are included for everyone, in adult and child sizes, so the tour is beginner-friendly and family-friendly. Fresh fruit, bottled water, cold drinks and lunch are served on board between snorkel stops.

The best time to snorkel in Los Cabos is year-round, with the calmest conditions and best underwater visibility on morning departures. The difficulty level is easy — no experience is needed, and our guides stay close to help anyone who is new to the water. For your comfort and safety we provide reef-safe guidance, life jackets and a shaded boat with a restroom. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a towel.
